About Keith County Alert

Keith County Alert is a PC based emergency alert system which adds a layer of public notification for local, state and national emergency warnings. It provides rapid notification of severe weather threats from the National Weather Service, emergency messages issued by local officials or the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and state Amber Alerts for missing children.

 

Keith County Alert is sponsored solely by Keith County and contains no ads, spyware or adware. Unless the user changes the "Local Forecast" page to a zip code other than 69153, no cookies are needed or used either.

 

The application can either run fully open on your desktop or as a minimized application – showing the current temperature – on the Windows taskbar. The system will sit idle on your personal computer until an alert is issued. When a warning or alert is issued, it will sound a warning through the PC, followed by a pop-up screen explaining the type of emergency. You can reduce the screen after receiving the alert; however updated information will immediately scroll across the bottom of the screen.
